National Eye Health Week - 2018

This year`s National Eye Health Week (NEHW) will take place from 24 to 30 September 2018, promoting the importance of eye health and the need for regular sight tests for all.

Vision really matters. Sight is the sense people fear losing the most, yet many of us don’t know how to look after our eyes – National Eye Health Week aims to change all that!

We are proud to take part of National Eye Health Week 2018. For this year ABA has decided to set up various eye health information stalls around Leeds. We think it’s important to spread awareness on eye health as it is generally overlooked. Prevention is better than the cure. Our information stalls include eye health guidance information packs, one to one advice on general eye health and advice on eye health conditions/symptoms.

We also arranged a brief session on Eye Health and Care at BAME Hub on 25th September 2018. The session was attended by our service users and many other people from BAME. The session was very informative and the attendees were talked about the prevention of eye loss and also were encouraged to maintain personal eye hygiene and attend regular eye clinics.
